Description
In the depths of Dartmoor, the will of Mason Talbot, missing for five long years, is about to be read. His surviving twin brother is expected to inherit the brooding edifice that is Talbot Manor. But the unexpected appearance of Mason’s elder sister Liberty, returned from exile in America, threatens to expose Mason’s true fate and the truth around the mysterious experiments performed in Marcus’s laboratory…
The action begins the moment you enter this evening. The actors playing the parts will remain in character until the end of the evening. All the clues you need to solve the murder mystery will be provided, or will be available to you, in the course of the evening.
Part 1
You are part of a coach party that has been stranded at Talbot Manor. Listen to all that goes on around you. One of the characters is about to be murdered.
Part 2
Time to gather your thoughts together and study the extra clues we will give you.
Part 3
Your chance to question the suspects. Each table may ask one question of one suspect, who may only answer Yes, No or Don’t Know. Only the murderer may lie. If time allows, a second round of questions may be permitted.
Part 4
At the end of the questioning, your Secret Question will be collected. You may ask any suspect any question. Your question and the identity of the questioned suspect will remain a secret.
Part 5
Time to study Harriet Ffinch’s Notes.
Part 6
The answers to the Secret Questions will be read out before the entire audience.
Part 7
Your chance to question the suspects more fully. Each table may ask one question of one suspect, which that suspect will answer in full. Only the murderer may lie. If time allows, a second round of questions may be permitted.
Part 8
Time to put your conclusions on paper. Your answer sheet will be collected and the winners announced after the identity of the murderer is revealed.
